London Borough of Kingston Upon Thames
AVL Consultancy has worked with the London Borough of Kingston since 2000, when they originally assisted with letting the packed lunch contract for free meals. In 2005, following the demand by schools for hot food, AVL worked with the Borough to put in place a hot meal contract for 11 schools.
Since that time an audit has been carried out with all 51 schools in the Borough to ascertain their approach towards the whole school food programme. This encompassed carrying out an internet based survey to all schools and Quality Assurance visits to 21 of these.
